2010 Band Banquet - April 9
The annual Band Banquet is a semi-formal event for students currently enrolled in the Clark Cougar Band. It includes dinner, skits, a slideshow and dance. The Banquet is a time for the band to reflect on the fall marching season and honor the graduating seniors and the band directors. The banquet will be at the Omni Hotel at the Colonade and costs $33 per person. Check in begins at 6:30 pm and the banquet is from 7 pm - midnight.
Seniors will still need to submit a check for $33 to reserve their space, and the check will be returned to the senior after the banquet. If the senior does not attend, the check will not be returned because we must still pay for the meal. Senior parents are invited to attend and will need to pay the $33 per person.
Payments can be placed in the Booster box but please put your payment in an envelope labled Band Banquet and include your name on it. If paying with cash, you must get a receipt from a band director - we will not be responsible for cash placed in the booster box. Parents will be in the Band Hall on Friday, March 26 and Thursday, April 1 to also take payments. No payments will be accepted after April 1.
Northside Concessions - UPDATED!
Attention Band Parents! Volunteers are needed for several remaining sporting events this Spring. Volunteers typically work 2 or 3 hours and some of the events are during the day or after school. Please contact Kathy Tschirhart at 663-3933 if you can help. She currently has openings for March 18, 27, 30 and April 20.Working concessions during the school year is a great way to earn money for your student's Band Bucks account. Get more details here.
Battle of Flowers Band Festival
UPDATED! The Mighty Cougar Band will be joining other local and state bands at the annual Battle of Flowers Band Festival on Thursday, April 22 at Alamo Stadium. For seats in the Clark reserved section, contact Mrs. Ruth Berg at 422-9963 or call 832-9284 until March 19. Reserved seats are only $5.00. Beginning March 26 tickets will only be available at the Fiesta Store, 2611 Broadway, or at the Alamo Stadium box office on April 21 and 22. More details about the Cougar band's performance time will be provided at a later date.
Funday Sunday - April 18
Attention band parents! We need your help for the Funday Sunday events. This is one of the most important fundraisers for the mighty Cougar Band and Guard. This year Funday Sunday will be on April 18 on the Clark High School grounds. There are so many ways that you can be involved in supporting this event. Currently we are looking for GAMES (the type you usually see at school carnivals) and SILENT AUCTION donations. Please contact Holly Cirlin at 690-9924 to find out how you can help!
