2007-08 Six
Weeks Eligibility Dates
Note: Northside ISD students
who are not passing all classes on the date of an eligibility
check are considered "ineligible." Any band or guard student who
is ineligible cannot attend or participate in any
extracurricular events including football games, region band
contests, UIL events, solo & ensemble contests, Fiesta events,
etc. Ineligible students may, however, participate in
rehearsals.

First Eligibility Check - End of First Six Weeks
(Oct. 5, 2007)

An eligible
student on Oct. 5 will remain eligible until *4:05
p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30.

A failing
student on Oct. 5 becomes ineligible at 4:05 p.m. on Friday,
Oct. 12.
-
A student who
failed on Oct. 5 may regain his/her eligibility at 4:05 p.m.
on Friday, Nov. 2 provided he/she is passing all classes on
Friday, Oct. 26.

If an
ineligible student is not passing all classes on Oct. 26,
he/she may regain eligibility at 4:05 p.m. on Friday, Nov.
30 provided he/she is passing all classes on Friday, Nov.
16.

Second
Eligibility Check - End of Second Six Weeks (Nov.
16, 2007)

A student retaining
eligibility by passing all classes on Friday, Nov. 16 will
remain eligible until 4:05 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25.

A student regaining
eligibility by passing all classes on Friday, Nov. 16 will
become eligible at 4:05 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30 and remain
eligible through Friday, Jan. 25 at 4:05 p.m.

A student losing his/her
eligibility by not passing all classes on Nov. 16 will
become ineligible at 4:05 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30. This
student may regain his/her eligibility at 4:05 p.m. on
Friday, Dec. 21 provided he/she is passing all classes on
Friday, Dec. 14. (This student will be eligible during the
Thanksgiving holiday – Friday, Nov. 16 at 4:05p.m. through
Saturday, Nov. 24).

If an ineligible student is
not passing all classes on Friday, Dec. 14, he/she may
regain eligibility at 4:05 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25 provided
he/she is passing all classes on Friday, Jan. 18. (This
student will be eligible during the Christmas holidays,
Friday, Dec. 21 at 4:05 p.m. through Saturday, Jan. 5).

Third Eligibility Check - End of Third Six
Weeks (Jan. 18, 2008)
- A student
who retains eligibility on Jan. 18 by passing all classes
will remain eligible through Friday, March 7, until 4:05
p.m.
- A student
who regains eligibility on Jan. 18 by passing all classes
will become eligible at 4:05 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25 and
remain eligible through Friday, March 7.

A student losing eligibility
on Jan. 18 becomes ineligible at 4:05 p.m. on Friday, Jan.
25. He/she may regain his/her eligibility at 4:05 p.m. on
Friday, Feb. 15 provided he/she is passing all classes on
Friday, Feb. 8.

If an ineligible student is
not passing all classes on Feb. 8, he/she may regain
eligibility at 4:05 p.m. on March 7 provided he/she is
passing all classes on Feb. 29.

Fourth Eligibility Check - End of Fourth
Six Weeks (Feb. 29, 2008)

A student
retaining eligibility on Friday, Feb. 29 by passing all
classes will remain eligible through Friday, April 25 at 4:05
p.m.

A student
regaining eligibility on Friday, Feb. 29 will become eligible
at 4:05 p.m. on Friday, March 7 and remain eligible through
April 25 at 4:05 p.m.

An ineligible
student on Feb. 29 may regain his/her eligibility at 4:05 p.m.
on Friday, April 4 provided he/she is passing all classes on
Friday, March 28. (This student is eligible during Spring
Break - Friday, March 14 at 4:05 p.m. through Saturday, March
22).

If an ineligible
student is not passing all classes on Friday, March 28, he/she
may regain eligibility at 4:05 p.m. on Friday, April 25
provided he/she is passing all classes on Friday, April 18.

Fifth Eligibility Check - End of Fifth Six
Weeks (April 18, 2008)

A student
retaining eligibility on April 18 will remain eligible through
June 4.

A student regaining eligibility
by passing all classes on Friday, April 18 will become
eligible at 4:05 p.m. on Friday, April 25.

An ineligible student on April
18 may regain his/her eligibility at 4:05 p.m. on Friday, May
16 provided he/she is passing all classes on Friday, May 9.
- If an ineligible
student is not passing all classes on Friday, May 9, he/she
will remain ineligible until Wednesday, June 4 at 4:05 p.m.
(needed for playoff purposes).
*Time of school day ending may vary. Remember, the time a
student gains or loses eligibility is always the time school
normally ends for that student’s respective school. Remember,
students who have lost eligibility will begin reestablishing
eligibility the first academic day following the last grade
check.
