Three Cougar
Band alumni selected for national Honor Band, featured in
Rose Parade

Stephanie L., Mike H.,
and
Kristen F., all 2004
graduates of Clark High School and alumni of the Clark
Cougar Band, were selected by Bands of America®
(BOA) for the organization’s national Honor Band, which
participated in the 2005 Tournament of Roses®
Parade on January 1st in Pasadena, California. The
world-famous parade was televised in the United States and
28 countries around the world.
Stephanie, Mike
and Kristen, who play flute, trombone, and clarinet,
respectively, were selected from among hundreds of
applicants across the country for membership in the
prestigious honors ensemble. The Clark trio, along with 320
other high school students and graduates representing 42
states, spent a week in southern California, where they took
part in rehearsals, performances at the Tournament of Roses
Bandfest and Disneyland, special activities and their
performance in the New Year's Day parade.
Bands of America is the nation's largest presenter of
educational festivals, events and workshops for high school
