The Cougar Band Directors have created a "wish list" of needed band equipment and items.  Donations are being accepted to help pay for these items.  Please let anyone, that you think may want to contribute, know about this opportunity to support the Mighty Cougar Band.  Individuals or companies desiring to contribute should contact Dagne Fisher, Band Booster president, at 408-1314 or email her at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. • a stand for the concert bass drum - $1,000
• 5 wireless microphones - $350 each
• a wireless metronome - $350
• 75 specially designed ergonomic concert chairs - $75 each

Attention Band Parents!  Volunteers are needed for various Northside football and volleyball games this Fall.  Volunteers typically work 2 or 3 hours at events during the day or after school.  Please contact Kathy Tschirhart at 663-3933 if you can help. Working concessions during the school year is a great way to earn money for your student's Band Bucks account.  How the program works.  View the fall concessions schedule here.

Northside Independent School District requires a criminal history background check of all persons who serve as volunteers in any capacity that involves working directly with students in NISD schools. In terms of the Cougar Band organization, background checks are required of all who serve as chaperones or on any volunteer committee designated by the Clark Band Boosters. A new form is required every school year.   If you prefer you may complete this form on-line by visiting www.nisd.net/schools/volunteer ; look for the link to the on-line form.

You must authorize NISD to conduct a criminal history check by completing the Volunteers Criminal History Authorization Form. Background checks are conducted by NISD's Human Resources Department, and information obtained is used only for the purpose of determining eligibility for service as a volunteer.
