Northside Independent School District requires a criminal history background check of all persons who serve as volunteers in any capacity that involves working directly with students in NISD schools. In terms of the Cougar Band organization, background checks are required of all who serve as chaperones or on any volunteer committee designated by the Clark Band Boosters. You must authorize NISD to conduct a criminal history check by completing the Volunteers Criminal History Authorization Form. Background checks are conducted by NISD's Human Resources Department, and information obtained is used only for the purpose of determining eligibility for service as a volunteer.
