• Registration begins at 8 a.m.
• Auditions begin at 9 a.m., and will be completed by approximately 12 noon.

This annual competition is open to band students who play saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, bass guitar, or drum set. It is not necessary to be a member of the Clark Jazz Ensemble to participate. See one of the Clark Band directors to obtain the audition music.

Cougar Band students are highly encouraged to participate, as preparation for these auditions provides an excellent opportunity to develop and enhance jazz performance and improvisation skills. The auditions also offer an opportunity for students to be recognized for performance excellence among their peers in Region XI, as well as the possibility for advancement to the prestigious TMEA All-State Jazz Ensemble.
